Portland experienced a few rainstorms this year, so much so that the cherry blossoms at Tom McCall Waterfront Park were all gone within a week of blooming! That meant we had to turn to other parks in the surrounding area. There are quite a few places to see the beautiful, fluffy pink flowers:

  • Salem's Capitol
  • The Portland Japanese Garden
  • Laurelhurst Park
  • Orchard Park (which is where we decided to go!)

Mini sessions are always so fun because you get to meet and learn about so many people in such a short amount of time! But it feels like you get to learn so much about what makes them happy within those 30 minutes.

Pono

Pono is 15 and starting to slow down, but he still gets to go on long walks through the mountains, as long as he's with his human! Pono had so much fun sniffing around. I made silly sounds and he still didn't care about the camera!

Mommy & Me

This beautiful mommy and me, with the silliest goose there ever was, absolutely has a hold on my heart! I asked Luna, "What is your favorite thing about your mom?" and she said, "Her body!"

Senior

I was so honored to photograph a huge milestone for this future nurse! In the half an hour that I photographed her, she presented to be so wise, down-to-earth, and fun!

Couples

This beautiful couple were so open to any ideas. She even brought her own props to take photos of, and it made for such creative shots! She was so excited to have photos of her senior pup, too.

Family

This family had recently immigrated and hadn't had any new pictures taken of them to decorate their new home! I was so honored to help them settle into our amazing city.

Maverick

Senior dog pictures are always so special to me. Maverick is a 17 year old pup, who is deaf and blind. His human isn't sure how long he'll be with us, but we both cried during this session thinking of all their time together!

Couples

This fun couple just wanted to spend some time together. They were so down for anything and let me pose them in the silliest ways -- it made for such fun and happy pictures as they laughed the whole time!

The beauty of mini sessions

There was such a diversity of clients during these cherry blossom minis! It took under two weeks to finish editing each of them, and it made me smile each session thinking about all of those memories we created and captured together! From the pets, to the high school seniors, to the various families, it was so beautiful to capture everyone's love.
