A perfect love story
I first connected with Nat's maid of honor, months and months ago. She'd told me that this was her best friend's wedding and she just wanted to help and make it the most perfect day. When meeting Nat, it truly all made sense. She deserved all of the love and kindness in the world -- and she had found it in Mando. The two had bonded over an online game and shared a mutual love of games and anime. Getting to know them meant lots of funny jokes were passed along, silly remarks and looks, and a day full of laughter and happiness. Nat and Mando were made for each other, and it was such an honor to follow them through the beautiful forest to photograph their intimate ceremony.
The Redwood Observation Deck inside Hoyt Arboretum overlooks giant redwood trees and a winding dirt trail. It can be reserved for a half or a full day, in addition to other locations within the beautiful forest in NW Portland. Nat and Mando booked it for the morning, and used it for their first look and their ceremony, where they lined it with a beautiful white aisle runner. Their private vows were shared at the top of the trail where many guests were able to park. After the ceremony, the two walked through the forest, Nat in heels(!!), as we took as many creative shots as we could stomach before hangriness called us. The cure? The best tacos ever!
They booked the Graham Oaks picnic shelter for their reception. It is a quiet park, also with gorgeous scenery for photos, and offers lots of parking for all of your guests. They brought out a taco caterer and had their friends and family decorate. The cake was the best part! Goku and Chichi forever.
